Hire Date: 10/23/1992
Born and raised in Austin when the population was around 200,000, Trey has seen the city go through a lot of changes. Fresh out of college and looking for work, he started with First Texas Honda as a delivery driver in 1992. With goals of becoming a part of the Austin Police Department, he quickly realized that being in a delivery vehicle for 9 to 10 hours a day was not for him and being a police officer in a patrol car for that amount of time, or longer, was not for him either. Deciding to make a change, Trey tried to move on to other things but was convinced to stay and work in the warehouse at First Texas Honda. For a year he pulled and stocked parts as well as dispatched our drivers until being promoted to front counter sales. Here is where he found a place that he was happy. He liked the interaction with the customers and the thrill of the sale. We started a large wholesale program at First Texas Honda and Trey was asked to be a part of it, (lucky for us) he gladly accepted! For seven years we continued to grow the wholesale program until we started WPD. At WPD, he has done everything from wholesale salesman, aftermarket buyer, Fixed Operations Manager, to now, General Manager. “The last 14 years at WPD have been somewhat of a blur” Trey said, “but I would not have gotten here without the support of my wife and best friend, Wendy, and my two great kids Kaylin and Riley.” In what spare time he has, and if there is water in the lake, he enjoys taking the kids out in the boat on Lake Travis or simply just fishing at the dock.

Win-win.
